Randi Sparks, Ed.S.
Visual Art/Speech/Theatre Facilitator, Electives Team Lead, Fine Arts Department Head, Rogers Academy of Leadership & Innovation | Rogers, AR

Our school is entirely focused on teaching through Project Based Learning, so I am drawn to the idea that your program would share more project-based and learner-centered strategies and resources with us. I love participating in learning communities and getting the chance to collaborate with other educators who can share diverse perspectives that will enhance the work I do with my own learners.

Randi Sparks is an Artist/Educator living and working primarily in Northwest Arkansas. She holds a BFA in Studio Art from the University of Arkansas, an MA in Art Education from Boston University, and an Ed.S. in Digital Age Teaching & Learning from the University of Central Arkansas. Sparks loves sharing her passion for Ceramics and Fiber Art with the high school and adult learners she teaches, as well as the fellow educators she supports as a mentor throughout Arkansas. As an educator, she is dedicated to teaching independence and empathy through choice-based projects and individualized support. As an artist, Sparks enjoys blurring the line between sculpture and function by crafting highly detailed, dynamic forms in her jewelry, pottery, and fiber work. Clay and fiber are her preferred media because, through pattern and repetition, the smallest threads and particles come together to create cloth and vessels that reflect the interconnectedness of humanity and the incredible amount of commonality and familiarity underneath the surface of every organism.
