The ARTEFFECT Ambassadors program seems to be exactly what I'm looking for—time carved out to be within a network of seasoned art educators to share ideas and advance our practices. I work best in a communal setting and look forward to participating in a dialogue I am most passionate about: art education.
Mary Anderson holds a B.F.A. in Studio Art and a master’s in art education from New York University. She began her career in museum education, working at the Queens Museum, the Noguchi Museum, and the Guggenheim—experiences that shaped her belief in the power of art to inspire curiosity and connection. For the past five years, Anderson has been an art educator at La Salle High School in Pasadena. She is motivated by the opportunity to guide students through their own journeys of self-discovery, using art as a vehicle to help them gain confidence in their skills, creative ideas, and personal expression.
