The ARTEFFECT Ambassadors fellowship excites me because it would allow me to grow alongside other educators who share a commitment to art for social change, gain new strategies for guiding students in meaningful projects, and bring back resources that will empower my students to see their creativity as a positive impact.
Kim Zimmerman is a K–12 art teacher at a Hawaiian-focused charter school, where she creates culturally responsive art curriculum rooted in Hawaiian values and traditions.
