David Nemteanu
Principles of Design Teacher, Del Lago Academy of Applied Science | Escondido, CA

I’m excited about the possibility of joining the fellowship and gaining new ideas and tools to bring back to my classroom. I want to keep designing projects that help students explore their own cultures and connect with history in a way that feels real and relevant.

David Nemteanu has 20 years of experience in education and has had the privilege of teaching a wide range of subjects including Graphic Arts, Multimedia, Earth Science, Biology, and Principles of Design. He has developed and led Career Technical Education (CTE) programs, founded a high school Graphic Arts program, and guided students through real-world projects like yearbook production and digital media creation. His work has also included leadership roles such as Department Co-Chair, ASB Advisor, and club sponsor, where he has supported student growth beyond the classroom. Nemteanu holds a strong belief in the power of project-based learning and digital creativity to engage students in meaningful, hands-on education. What motivates him most as an educator is helping students discover their strengths, build confidence through creative expression, and develop the skills they need to thrive in both academic and real-world settings.
