By connecting disciplines and perspectives, we can create a more meaningful and lasting impact—helping students not only learn history, but also see themselves as changemakers who can elevate voices that might otherwise go unheard.
Cynthia Bowie is a dedicated visual arts educator with over 20 years of experience teaching students from kindergarten through college in a wide range of media and formats. She currently serves as the Lead Visual Arts Instructor at South Carolina Connections Academy, where she develops innovative curriculum, fosters student engagement, and mentors new art educators. Her career highlights include building district-wide arts initiatives, collaborating across disciplines to create STEAM and arts innovation programs, and expanding opportunities in media arts, graphic design, and photography. Cynthia is also a published author and presenter, sharing insights on empowering students through virtual collaboration and the integration of AI in art education. Passionate about cultivating lifelong learners, she believes creativity is the cornerstone of innovation and is committed to inspiring students to explore, create, and lead through the arts.
